A Mother's Day print and a handful of other offerings...
Good morning, friends, and here I am again!
Thank you for receiving another email from me this week, but it needed to be a separate thing. 💛 As I wrote about in yesterday’s Monday Manna, I never saw an Etsy shop coming when I began my watercolor journey (nor an art show, coming this August here in Wilmette), but as I also wrote, God sees what we cannot. And beloved and trusted people in our lives can too, nudging us in baby steps we can’t take on our own.
(Note: HUGE shout-out to my beloved friend, , who spent hours in front of a computer with me setting up the bones of this shop, not to mention countless hours of encouragement, prayer, and brainstorming.)
I am one to want to have “everything ready” and just the way I like it before I start or share something, but as I learned with my Substack, if we wait until we’re ready we will eternally wait.
So today, on my 40th birthday, I am doing a soft and small launch of my new Etsy shop, ArianneBLehnArt. There are a handful of things on there to start, just in time for Mother’s Day.
As I thought about Monday Manna, and how God provides our “daily bread” for the journey, I felt the Spirit’s leading to let these sales also meet the need of world hunger. I remember how Lynne Twist’s powerful book, The Soul of Money, had such an impact on me, as did her work with The Hunger Project. And so, any and every purchase made through the ArianneBLehnArt Etsy site will have a small portion that goes to The Hunger Project.

MOTHER’S DAY PRINT ~ As a start to the Etsy shop, I am beginning with a limited edition of my “Strong Women” print, perfect for mother’s day. The prints are on high quality giclee glossy paper, all ready to pop in a frame and can be found here. Prints will come with a fun freebie or two, and the deadline for ordering is April 26 so that I can ship them for you to receive by Mother’s Day.
ORIGINALS ~ If you want an extra special gift for someone (or yourself!), I have made two variations on the Strong Women quote available. Both are 8x10 watercolor/ink, and ready for a pretty mat and frame.
DOWNLOADS ~ As I continue to test out the best route for making hard copy prints (coming soon), I have created three different high-resolution digital downloads (a couple 8x10 downloads and a 5x7) that can be purchased and immediately downloaded for personal use for printing, screen wallpaper, etc. (licensing and copyrights apply). I have some notes in there with a paper recommendation. If printing, I would suggest a bright white cardstock of at least 100-115 lb in weight.
NOTECARD ~ While I hope to make greeting card sets next month, here’s a fun little notecard in the meantime which you’ll see below. It’s become one of my mottos, especially in this journey.
I hope for more to come! I am still experimenting with some printing routes and plan to add more products in May with additional prints, card sets, and bookmarks. But here’s to starting before everything is ready!
Just as with Monday Manna, my deep prayer and desire with sharing art now on Etsy is that it will be a form of nourishment and blessing.
